【Award】Mr. Kobayashi, who obtained a Ph.D. from the Social Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering Program, received the Applied Mechanics Lecture Award at the 26th (2023) Applied Mechanics Symposium.

Daisuke Kobayashi, a third-year doctoral student in the Social Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering Programme last year, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University, has been awarded the Applied Mechanics Lecture Award at the 26th (FY 2023) Applied Mechanics Symposium.
The award was presented to him for his presentation at the 26th (FY 2023) Symposium on Applied Mechanics, which was recognised as particularly outstanding. (Date of award: September 2023)

Title of presentation: ‘Validation of a numerical method for the analysis of stepped waves passing through a permeable resistive body in an open channel’.
