On Saturday 14 June 2025, the Chugoku Branch of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) held a research presentation at Tokuyama National College of Technology.
Kotani from D1, Kitayama, Eguchi and Song from M1, and ex-graduates Ishizuka, Higuchi and Kawakami gave presentations.
The day before the conference, I took an advance trip to Shunan City, near the venue. There, we met up with three of the graduates and went to dinner together.
We had a lot to talk about after a long time and had a lot of fun from start to finish!
Hearing about how everyone is struggling in a new place as a member of society, I was inspired to work even harder myself.
On the day of the conference, presentations started in the morning in a lively atmosphere.Lively discussions took place in every session, and I received a lot of stimulation through exchanging opinions with people from other universities and companies.
What was particularly impressive was the very productive question and answer session.
There were many questions and comments from perspectives not normally available in the laboratory, which will provide hints for future research.
The picture on the left shows Ishizuka’s presentation, and in the centre, a heated discussion between Eguchi and the chairperson, Takashi Inoue-sensei,
And on the right is Ms Kotani, who showed a fresh smile during the Q&A session.
In addition, M1 Song received the Young Outstanding Presenter Award!
Thanks to all presenters for their hard work! We hope we continue to enjoy working on your research!
