Hi!!
I’m Matsuo, a third-year doctoral student!
This time, I’ll be talking about the fishing and social gathering that took place on April 29th and 30th with people I collaborated with on research until last year!
29th (Fishing Edition)
Well then, once again we set sail from Kure Marina and went sea bream fishing under the guidance of Mr. Uchida!
The participants were Mr. Asahi from RiverLink Co., Ltd., Mr. Minami from Pacific Consultants Co., Ltd., and from our research lab, Professor Tatsuhiko Uchida, Assistant Professor Takashi Inoue, Mr. Kido, Shu-kai, Martin, Nagatsu, and myself—a total of nine people!
Martin, an international student, is a research student starting this academic year!
It seems he was fully prepared for this day, even buying a fishing rod the day before.
Mr.Asahi was the first to reel it in!!!
congratulations!!
Mr.Asahi is good at fishing, isn’t he? Impressive!
Mr.Minami, who said it was her first time fishing, also managed to catch a fish!
Thanks to Shu-kai and Assistant Professor Takashi Inoue, I was also able to catch some fish, and we managed to catch a total of more than 5 fish!
I’m really looking forward to the get-together the next day!!
30th (Social Gathering)
Well, well, we had a meeting about our joint research during the day, and then a social gathering was held in the evening! In addition to the two people from yesterday, Mr. Yoshitake, Mr. Morikawa, Mr. Hirotsugu, and Mr. Sakagami from Pacific Consultants Co., Ltd. also participated from outside Hiroshima University!
As some of you may have guessed from yesterday’s group photo, it was unfortunately raining that day…
Normally, when we have visitors from outside the university, we have a BBQ, but this time, we held a get-together at MIRAI CREA, one of Hiroshima University’s most stylish buildings, where we enjoyed appetizers, sashimi, hot pot, and more.
It was a great get-together where we were able to deepen our interaction with Pacific Consultants Co. and the students!
I’m looking forward to the next opportunity!
