Nearly 30 people gathered for the study session held at MIRAI CREA multipurpose space.
Presenters included Mr. Noji and Mr. Kobashi from CEC, as well as Assistant Professor Takashi, Mr. Kotani, Mr. Ito, and Mr. Sakaue from Hiroshima University’s Department of Hydraulic Engineering, and lively discussions took place following each presentation.
By examining the situation from a consultant’s perspective, we were able to gain insights into what is truly needed on the ground. I believe all participants felt that continuing this dialogue will help us further refine our own research.
In preparation for the social gathering (BBQ), we went fishing the day before.
We were delighted to have many alumni from Hiroshima University’s Department of Hydraulic Engineering, who are currently active at CEC, join us for this event, making it a truly memorable occasion.
Assistant Professor Ryu successfully reeled in a big catch and gave us a wonderful smile.
Professor Uchida filleted the fish we caught, and we enjoyed delicious fresh sashimi, grilled fish, and oven-baked milt—the largest I’d ever seen.
We intend to continue actively exchanging information through such industry-academia collaboration initiatives and apply what we learn to our research activities.
