Specially appointed assistant professor Takashi Inoue attended and presented at the Multiphase Flow Symposium 2025, which was held at Kobe University on September 3rd-5th.
This symposium brought researchers and students in multiphase flow from a wide range of fields, including not only civil engineering but also mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and medical majors.
My presentation title and session are as follows:
・Takashi Inoue: Numerical Study on Local Scour around a River Rectangular Pier based on LES for Multiphase Turbulent Flow Considering Free Water Surface, OS-7 Multiphase Flow in Natural Phenomena
Fortunately, I met my previous supervisor, Professor Yasuo Nihei at Tokyo University of Science (hereafter TUS). We had a lively discussion about our research on each other and our updates!
I hope more hydraulic engineering researchers will join the next symposium.
We took a photo at Rokko Hall, which overlooks Kobe Port (from left: Professor Nihei, Fujino (TUS), me).
Thank you,
Takashi
